Going in may, relying on bus trip to shiretoko. Is shiretoko Grand hotel the one to go to? It looks good. Any other recommendations especially with ocean view while soaking in their onsen?

Its not cheap so if their public onsen has nice views I don’t mind if no onsen in room. Going in may though, so not sure if its a good idea. Seems most people here go in winter and autumn.

Undecided whether to just do a day tour of the shiretoko peninsula or to stay a night in Utoro since there might be nothing in early spring. Why do you say u will feel u really in hokkaido when u in shiretoko? Because of thick snow?
