Depends what your budget is.
As mentioned, Metro hotel is nice n in a good location but not sure if they are within your budget.

On the Namsan side of myeongdong, there are some guesthouses, more like hostels but they are cheap.

For a real budget hotel around Myeongdong area, I would recommend Wons Ville. It is difficult to find the place and about 10 mins walk to Myeondong stayed here once and quite very good value for the money if you don't mind small room with free breakfast. Did a random booking for early Nov. around $70+. Another place is Savoy hotel right in heart of Myeondong and shows around $100+ a night.

Nearest to myeongdong station will be Prince hotel & Loisir Hotel & Ninetree hotel.

Less than 5 mins walk from station.
Super convenient when u need to take train to venture other places.

If u stay in one of the above 3 hotels, can go for massage near Ninetree hotel. Massage at level 3.

Massage name is = Nine Foot Skin Care
Close at 11pm.

Whole body massage 60mins 28,000won.

I stay in Prince hotel and really like it.
Room is decent.

Hi, perhaps you should try Guesthouse instead of hotels? These guesthouse are usually cheaper and ran by Korean family. Here are some guesthouse in myeongdong that i Google..

Use Air bnb, beside cheaper & most of the time their location is better if u are paying for the same price or lower price. Let me invite u through email & u get to receive a $40 credit to offset your first booking.

from my personal experience, i met a really nice host on my first airbnb stay in korea! the apartment in somewhat like a condo in sg, you can only enter the building with a passcode.
