Busan cherry blossom usually earlier than Seoul. If you happen to go to Busan early April, make a day trip to Jinhae. Jinhae cherry blossom festival usually April 1 till 10.
yeah. will arrive in first week of april. hope can make it for busan and seoul cherry blossom. just that usually busan is end march / early april.

anyone with experience for Jinhae Gunhangje Cherry Blossom Festival?
need some advice...

1) read from a few blogs that mention getting bus tickets at busan can be a bit troublesome as it can get sold out for to and return. any tips for this ? buying online/ arrive early etc.

2) how much time (estimated) will be enough to cover the gyeonghwa station and romance bridge.

3) and any hotel to recommend in busan that is convenient to tour the city and also access to the bus terminal at sasang / gamjeon train station?

- arrive early at the bus station, buy on the spot. Ive been there and done this.

- one day allocate to this trip is more than enough., include round trip from busan

I stay at busan station last time and made my way to sasang station early morning. Busan station has lots of hotels. I stay atound busan station bc we need to take KTX back to Seoul.
Most people stay at busan station, haeundae or nampo. Haeundae kind of far from city center.

Could anyone help me with this?
The Korean met service comes up with a forecast every year.
For example for 2017 cherry blossom in Busan was forecasted to start on March 26.
Some sources online say that the best time to view is about 1 week after this date which will be peak bloom while others say from the first day of this forecast will be good.

So which is it on the assumption the forecast is accurate.

Thanks.

Hi what would the temperature be like in Korea during early April? Is it cold like Taiwan or Hong Kong winter time?

Also where is a good place to recommend stay in Jeju?

Last yr when I went, I bought the bus trip from klook and chose meeting Point at Prince Myeongdong.

The meeting time was v early and I just stayed just around Prince Myeongdong.

The bus ride was long but you can just sleep on the way there.

Forecast is out. It's in Korean, I used google translate.

http://company.kweather.co.kr/?p=11376&cat_val=15

- Starting from March 25 in Jeju Island, Seoul is expected to bloom on April 8

- March temperature is similar to or slightly higher than normal,

- Cherry blossoms in full bloom are about one week after blooming.

[Cherry blossom blooming outlook summary]

The cherry blossom season this year is somewhat different by region, but the remaining February and March temperatures

As it is expected to be similar or somewhat higher than normal, the central region will be about 1-2 days

It will be fast, and the southern region will be similar to normal.

▫ The cherry blossom blooming season is most affected by the temperatures in February and March,

It is the result of forecast based on observation temperature in the region from the beginning of February to mid-February and the temperature forecast from the end of February to the end of March.

▫ Last winter (from December to February 21) was mostly affected by the cold continental high pressure accompanied by cold air in the upper part,

The coldness of the Arctic has remained south of Korea, and a cold wave frequently appeared, which is lower than normal.

▫ However, in late February and March,

Temporarily from the north, the continental high-pressure is expanding, and the temperature is likely to drop to a large extent due to the cold of the spring,

In general, it is expected to be similar to or slightly higher than normal year, and the spring flowering season is similar to that in the southern part,

The central part will be about 1 ~ 2 days faster than usual.

▫ Cherry blossoms will flow from Jeju Island on March 25, from March 28 to April 4 in the south, and from April 3 to 10 in the central region.

▫ Considering that cherry blossoms take about a week to full bloom after flowering,

Jeju Island April 1, Southern region April 4 ~ 11, Central part April 10 ~ 17 will be around.
