I kinda miss bario for the thick soup n the lor mee noodles and garlic.

what's the closest alternative now? I feel tht tonkotsu king's soup is almost on par, but can't seem to find the flat type noodles or places with garlic

I sort of prefer Ippudo and Miharu. But miharu is little on the salty side.

Can try Riki at Bugis+ outlet or Miyamoto at GWC outlet. Both involve raw garlic.

Chjimes have quite a few ramen shops. If you meant the latest one that was posted a few pages ago. I ate it.

Didn't really like it. Very normal. Nothing special enough for me to visit again. They have free flow eggs though

Tonkotsu Ramen ‘AWA ODORI’

Tonkotsu Ramen 'SANJYA'

Tonkotsu Ramen ‘AWA ODORI’ and Tonkotsu Ramen 'SANJYA' are equally enjoyable. Wasabi Ginger Ale is an interesting choice for drink.

I happened to be one of the lucky fews that participated in their facebook contest and got invited for their pre-opening dinner.

Taste wise is kinda unique and different from the other 2 outlets. It was cooked by Keisuke-sen that night and it tasted really good.

Miharu Sapporo Ramen @ The Gallery Hotel.

Miso tonkotsu ramen S$13.80++ Noodle is curly & slightly thicker kind. Qq chewy texture, pretty good. The broth is rich, with sesame taste. It's not as salty as mentioned before here. Cha shu meat is thinly sliced, pretty decent.

Gyoza S$5.80++ with shiso leaf inside, fragrant & refreshing.

wackykid's shoyu ramen S$13.80++ heard it's pretty normal.

^^ till today I rank Miharu as one of my top 5 ramen stalls and that I will return to. And probably the best Sapporo ramen (with corn and bamboo shoots).

And you can see Jap people cooking and many Jap people going there to eat.

u seems v familiar with miharu ramen..? which flavour would u recommend to go for...?? cos i think i chose the wrong one... the shoyu one i find the taste is kinda one-dimensional... is really like mostly soy sauce flavour... sen's miso soup tasted much better...

yes I have been there quite a few times and usually order the same miso ramen that sen ordered, it is their specialty and best seller. in general, sapporo ramen is a miso ramen that comes with corn, bamboo and butter. It is a feature of a sapporo ramen.

hokkaido ramen = shio
shoyu does not have a fix region imo

Haha, we seem to have similar taste buds. Ordered the shoyu at Miharu and found it nothing special, should have ordered their signature miso ramen.

Ya, I agree that Santouka has one of the best shoyu ramen I tried so far.
