Marutama's broth is tori-based (chicken based stock), it's not an ideal comparison against tonkotsu broth ramen.

If compared against other tori broth ramen from Tori-King and Takeichi, it still has its own merit. Just don't go to the City Square branch, as what another poster mentioned.

If you're still looking for kotteri (rich) tori & miso broth ramen, can check out Sanpouttei at Holland V.
How's the meat at marutama?

I like takeichi's soup better and tori King's meat better

For marutama, the rest of the outlets (Eu Tong Sen/Liang Court/Killiney Road) are fine?

I like Marutama's chashu & kakuni and the aosa (sea lettuce) that they serve with the Zenbu Nose ramen.

In terms of tori-based broth, I also prefer Takeichi's over the other two.

Ramen Champion? There are better ramen offerings out there.

I only go to Ramen Riki at Ramen Champion for his jiro-style ramen. Plenty of beansprouts and chashu.

@kani king
ordered the all toppings, but they forgot my charsiu
the charsiu here is the best among all their outlets I have tried.
the broth has a very strong crab taste, but I don't really like it as it has fine bits of ginger, which I hate

it does, and the 'special' gives more slices.
I reminded them and they gave it to me
