Anyone tried Sakae Sushi's 90 mins buffet before? Any reviews?
I went a few years ago. Then was still 90min and cost less than $20. I went a few times and twice they got deep fried softshell crab plus I usually targeted those red plate items.

After that they changed to 60min buffet and I stopped going since then.

If you have a SCB card, then try 4 points Eatery - now got 1-for-1 until 31 Jan 2018

Dinner comes with half a grilled lobster and the usual oysters and sashimi

So far, I have only gone for the lunch - not too bad

Thanks for sharing the great deal for four points!

Are there other nice buffet deals for a Christmas gathering budget at S$70 per pax?
I found Lime Resturant but reviews seems to say that they have very little spread. Any reviews?

Very long never recommend any buffets, so here goes. Found is absolute gem of a buffet at King Louis, Vivocity.

https://www.thekinglouis.com/

Their ala carte buffet is $39.90++. They have 141 on weekdays n 342 on weekends. The menu is a pretty big one consisting of western dishes. Forgot to take a pic of their menu, but you can goggle it. Got salads, appertisers, main dishes, desserts n drinks.

Edit : Click here for menu. Source :-
http://reviews-all.blogspot.sg/2017/...kings-ala.html

They also have a 'full menu' buffet for $39.90 without any promo. The 'full menu' has slightly more premium items like lamb n halibut etc. Anyways, i suggest you try the normal buffet first n then if you like it, you can always ask to see the full menu and come back for another visit

Platter of pork ribs n smoked duck

Tender, 'fall off the bone' pork ribs. I actually prefer the ribs here compared to morgansfield. Morgansfield's ribs can be a tad sweet n dry.

Very nice smoked duck. Thick slices, not salty n served warm.

Seafood marinara. Wat can i say ... its 1 of the best i ever ate, period.

Seafood aglio olio .. decent, but no fight compared to the marinara

Pork loin

Dun look good right? But looks can be deceiving. It might not be juicy, but its still quite tender, n tat smokey charred flavour is yummy!

Beef steak n tomato mussels

Good cooking, but unfortunately the cut of the beef is just avg, so while its quite juicy n tender, you dun get the beefy taste. For the price, can't complain though

Tomato mussels ... okay lar. decent dish, but i prefer the mussels in the marinara coz of the sauce.

After all tat meats n carbo, KO liao. Luckily like the saying goes, desserts go into a separate stomach

Rootbeer float ... dunno if its nice, but since my friend ordered 2 cups, i guess it should be decent at the very least ... or maybe he just has a thing for rootbeer floats *shrug*

Oreo cheesecake

Nice cheesecake ... just look at the texture! We preferred the new york cheesecake we had in the previous visit though. The new york cheesecake's taste is more pure, smoother n cleaner imo.

For desserts, they still have stuff like brownie, ice creams etc. Drinks also quite extensive with various types of teas, coffees n soft drinks.

Carby mains still got baked rice, cheese baked paste. Meats still got fish n chips, chickens etc.

Food comes fast n hot. Service is friendly. Plus they dun insist you finish the vegs sides. For weekdays at abt $24 nett, its a steal ... even for weekends @ abt $32 nett, i still think its worth it. Deco of the restaurant also quite unique. Medieval style overlooking Sentosa. Aiyah, jsut give it a try bah. Even if you dun love it, you will not regret it. Their slogan is 'Feast like a King', i concur!

Diff between lunch n dinner is basically dinner has 0.5 grilled lobster (so so nia), oyster bar n live drunken prawn stn (nice!).

Too bad they raised the price by around $5 n reduced the spread slightly. They used to have good crayfish, but the last 2 visits, the quality n size of the crayfish is no longer as good. To be fair, its still pretty decent for the price. Durian paste also not bad plus they usually have lamb chops too, which is the main reason i go.

Square @ Furama always has 141 promo for major cards. The good thing is for festive periods, they jsut reduce it to 342 which is still pretty good considering most other buffets have no promos during festival periods. Very long nvr go liao, so can't comment in detail, but i remember its okay =D

i think is

mon - thur 12pm - 5pm = 1 for 1 ( 2 pax for the price of 1)
mon - thur 5pm - 9.30pm, fri - sun 12pm - 5pm = 3 for 2. (3 pax for the price of 2)
