its cai peng stall rather curry chicken stall right ?
oh... u mean u wan those specialize in chicken curry ah?? i tot u refer to chicken curry in general... the cai peng there oso got chicken curry... so if u just order chicken curry + rice effectively is the same liao...

i thought those specialize in curry chicken should have a higher standard than cai peng chicken curry ? hehe.. so tell that auntie give me 4.50 worth of rice and chicken curry.

where in Singapore can eat good chinese curry chicken ? today i ate from 1 stall at albert food center. the gravy is not "thick" at all. more like drinking curry oil.
queensway shopping centre? heard its good. not sure.

My HK diary episode 11

I like to eat 叉烧酥 & char siu pau very much. I esp like 叉烧酥 from HK.






I realised from my previous trip tat many normal bakeries acherly sell nice 叉烧酥.
So I juz chin cai popped into an ordinary confectionery & bought tis. The pastry is very light & crispy while the char siu filling is very moist.

Juz look at the shiny glazed pastry is enuff to tell u hao nice the 叉烧酥 is




Acherly there is another street food that I hv tried but dunno y the photo pang kee liao
It is black pepper beef balls dipped in their curry sauce. Very, very nice. The beef balls have a strong peppery smell and were very crispy and tasted very yummy together with the curry sauce.

If I can manage to find den I sic in the future ...

My HK diary episode 12

Welcome to the final episode of my HK diary.


Tai Cheong Bakery (泰昌餅家) is a very established shop which is famous for their traditional egg tarts.



The crust is crispy while the egg filling is soft, smooth & very fragrance. Honestly, I am not a fan of egg tarts but I acherly find it yummy. I realli regreted not having one on the spot as I heard tat the egg filling is so soft tat it can flow (slowly of cos) into your mouth!


I oso read tat their seaweed egg rolls is nice so I bought 2 packets to try.



hmmm ... crispy leh & with seaweed realli enhance the fragrance & taste of the eggroll. haiz ... regreted oso ... should hv imported in big quantities.


With tis dinner ends my trip in HK.

hmm the char siu pau looks good... i actually never really liked char siu pau... until i ate lei garden's one at CHIJMES... it's still THE BEST char siu pau i've eaten... ate the same thing at lei garden shanghai too.... the same quality is there as well...

u must have eat too much lousy kong guan char siew bao.
kong guan got char siew bao..?? well but yeah all those char siew bao stalls at coffee shops... even the ones that are supposed to be very good.... i never liked the char siew bao... also because i never liked char siew rice.... those where the char siew marinated to red red type...

but japanese char siew is nice....... lei garden's char siew bun... the char siew is like a cross between normal red red de char siew and japanese char siew... plus it's piping hot and full of juices that just sexplode when u bite into it..... mmmmmm...
