Yea, reds normally served at room temp, but i was told reds will taste better if served slightly below room temp too, esp in such a warm place like ours. Anyways i dun really drink wines. You might wanna give it a try.
my frend told me red wine should be chilled。。
even thou it is in room temp。。
but it is referring to the room temp in europe。。
which get a bit lower in winter。。
hence the climate here still need to be chillied。。
anyway my frend could be wrong。。

i love to google... can find just about anything under the sun if u know wat keywords to use...

http://www.bettertastingwine.com/temperature.html

an extract from that website:
Storing wine and useful tips:

Sadly, many great wine collections have been damaged because of instability in temperature and moisture. High temperature (>65F) causes the wine to age prematurely, thus losing its flavor and balance. When chilled too cold, the wine also loses its flavor and aromas. Keep the wines away from sunlight and heat exposure; store them in cellars, wine fridge, and or temperature controlled rooms. Wide fluctuation in temperature will damage the wine and the cork. Ideal range of temperature for storing red wine is 50-55F or 10-16C. White wines can be stored at lower ranges at 45F. The serving temperature chart below provides optimal storing and serving temperature by grape variety.

Humidity is another important fine balance. If the humidity is too high, mold can grow and cellar woods and wine labels can be damaged. If the environment is too dry, the cork will crack and air will leak into the bottle, again ruining the wine. Ideal humidity for wine storage ranges from 60-75% RH.

samba fan... i am trying to remain neutral... some of your actions/posts i don't agree with... but it doesn't mean that i agree with the other ppl actions/posts either... for the other ppl you refer to... there are things i don't agree with either -- you just don't know what i have told them... but everyone are entitled to their own opinions... and i judge things objectively based facts and on my values and opinions... i don't usually take any favoritism... but your remarks are so offensive that you might have just tipped the scales that i may well just take exceptions -- unless you apologize to me properly...

and that is all that i have to say... and i will stop here...
