Dabao food from JB

Dabao food from JB

Hi,

Has anyone dabao-ed non-poultry tzi char dishes back from JB before? Will they confiscate? Things like steamed fish, prawn omelette, sea cucumber broccoli etc

No, but I packed chicken rice from JB Sentral and nasi lemak and mee siam from City Square without any issues

That time I drove in a dabao 1 whole roasted duck, the officer say cannot but he close one eye and say go go, next time dun do it

Some friends always tabao curry fishhead back and so far, no problem. One even tabao chilli crabs.

Seafood, I believe it's allowed.

I read somewhere about a limit of 3kg or something, not sure of restriction on cooked or raw.

For info, can check the authority's website.

Raw can, my friend recently went to buy raw seafood, salmon is very cheap but I don't know from where.

yes by right .... alot of things is CANNOT!!!!

but they close one eye




and then... there is a TAX part... some SIAO ON officer... want to tax your massive 10kg cake or some food that look expensive

My friend buy 1 whole fish, maybe cheaper that way. Sg 1 small slice $10.

Thanks for info. I haven't been bothered to check the details since I've never thought of bringing back raw seafood as I don't have the means to keep them frozen well aka bacterial-free, not being able to get back "fast enough". As for cooked, only thought of buying their fish curry home for own consumption, that I know is allowed but yet, have never gone through that "hassle"... yet.

u buai ATAS sasimi grade of cos expensive la....

malaysia import stuff is equally expensive

only those local food can buy only.... the rest... dont bother
