Let me ask you a simple question.

If i flip a coin 10x

The first 9 flips i get heads.

The 10th flip is it high chance i will flip heads again?

Let me try and explain what is the 'calculated loss' and House advantage (HA) in the casino.

If you flip a coin 100 times you can say there is a 50-50 outcome of head and tail happening.
But in everyday real life for every 100 flips this 50-50 outcome occurs only in 12% of the times.
Other times you will get 40+/50+ either way.
So if you bet on the side that occurs more than you win.

In the casino for Slots the casino has set the machine , the RNG (Random Number Generator) to be precise at about 10% HA. Your 'calculated loss' will be 10% of your total bet.
In other words if you bet $10,000 you will lose $1,000. Theoretically, but the casino do very well on these figures.

For tables games The casino make rules that give them for Roulette HA 2.78%., Baccarat 1.35%, BJ/Pontoon !.00% if you play strictly by the book.

Mathematically speaking, the chances of 10 consecutive heads is 1/512. Every time to continue the combo, the odd x 1/2 as the previous odd.
(maths expert can correct me if I am wrong).

However, there must be some external factor that is causing the consecutive heads. Either you can spot that external factor, or you don't bet at all.

To answer your question, No the RNG has no memory so the outcome is still 50/50 chance.

By nature or statistically - every single event/ flip is an independent event...the 50/50 spread in probability only becomes more obvious when u r approaching counts in millions...

But if u ask based on observations/ experience and logic via comparison of different tables vs different time/date - it's pretty obvious the trends are pre-designed...with technology today tats not surprising. In other words, it's not really natural trends...so if u believe casino games are based on true natural probabilities u will be fooled. Thus, if a dragon comes into formation, just flow along till it breaks - no point keep telling yrself it's ending soon based on probabilities...

Yes,you are right in a way. Also the table games that I play.Pontoon and BJ~~the shuffle master can give me 10~15 hands of crappy cards and I still stay on.Never touch roulette as odds totally against punters.

I did not say I win every time but due to changing table game to baccarat, luck has improved and at least see winnings instead of losing till last rm200 go back SG.my Penang kaki has won in respective order (all in rm) 15K,10k,8k and last 4K since he start going uphill. He is discipline in terms of doubling up and chasing baccarat dragon.

This is call the Martingale betting system. It will end in the gamblers bankruptcy

Since a gambler with infinite wealth will, almost surely, eventually flip heads, the martingale betting strategy was seen as a sure thing by those who advocated it. None of the gamblers possessed infinite wealth, and the exponential growth of the bets would eventually bankrupt "unlucky" gamblers who chose to use the martingale. The gambler usually wins a small net reward, thus appearing to have a sound strategy. However, the gambler's expected value does indeed remain zero (or less than zero) because the small probability that the gambler will suffer a catastrophic loss exactly balances with the expected gain.

Martingale (betting system) - Wikipedia

The strategy had the gambler double the bet after every loss, so that the first win would recover all previous losses plus win a profit equal to the original stake.

He's not referring to his betting system or strategy la... he's only talking abt his fren's winning record...well tats how i comprehend his post.

Most regulars in casino have a tendency to double up their bets during winning streaks.... nevertheless, those wise ones will revert bck to original lower betting units as precaution...u won't know when yr winning streak will end...so better to defend yr winnings towards tail-end of a dragon...still follow the dragon but just be more cautious bet-size wise..

For a fair coin toss is 50/50.
What you see short term that slants to one side is short term variance. Sum Of Big Numbers dictate that once there is enough tosses, the final outcome is 50/50

House edge is calculated base on the games’ maths and mechanics.
Simply put is what the casino is expected to earn after putting sum of big numbers in consideration.
Example sic bo house edge is 2.78% on odd/even due to the casino taking all in 3 of a kind situations.

Let me try and explain what is the 'calculated loss' and House advantage (HA) in the casino.

minus all the theories
personally i think time is always for the house
because firstly you chose to enter
for pleasure as well as hoping for a win
so you brought a sum sometimes with backup (atm)
and most of the time i cld recoup although with no winning or min loss, i still had time in my hands to consider a plunge plainly because i am still there!
in other words like someone mentioned here that if you have a fixed winning or a fixed loss you cld discipline yourself to leave, i wont call it a pleasure but just to give a short wld be suitable to describe. but how many do that? for eg. if u take a cruise trip, a mountain trip or even an mrt trip to mbs, one wldnt just put a hundred and leave. of course one needs to be a 3k member to do that esle the 150 bucks mean nothing!
but not forgetting members benefits which one can savour and enjoy at any of the spot i mentioned. in other words you wld plan to stay for a certain period to make use of all that! i mean if u r a phv driver u probably can plong 100 and leave. i met one like that uphill.
