Hi all need some advice. I have been to JB via train and so far went to KSL mall and City Sq. Any other places I can visit there? Not very sure of the transport etc thanks
If malls are not all you care for, you can also visit heritage areas in JB, within walking distance from City Square. Little India (Jln Trus, Jln Dhoby), Chinatown (Jln Segget). There is Kotaraya mall in the area. There's also a nightly (after 5pm) hawker scene at Meldrum Walk.

Election day on May 9th. Highly advisable not to travel to Malaysia during this day.

I think from May 5, traffic will already start to build up as Malaysians return to hometown to vote.

I strongly recommend sinkies to go msia during that period.

More ppl = slower custom
Slower custom = msians cannot go home intime to vote
Less msians go home vote = higher chance jib korkor win
Jib korkor win = ringgit drop drop drop like grapes

3.68 wan shui! 3.68 wan shui!

Possible too.
I'm seeing a lot of post for people going back. Even employer letting outstation staff 3 days paid leave. JB might be a ghost town on that day and with many shops close down.

I doubt JB will be a ghost town. Voting is not compulsory, and not all the people who work in JB live far away from town. At the same time, JB is better avoided. Johoreans may still travel between Johor and Singapore because it is a holiday, and it is not a big deal to vote in Johor and still come in to work in Singapore.

This round feel very different than last time. People even donate money and air tic for other Malaysians to fly back.

If May 4th Fri evening going JB is super crowded, then it's a sign that many have gone back.
