I think the recently launched redONE plans are excellent value.

Of cos, the best thing about the plan is that your bundled data can be used both in Singapore and Malaysia. So that basically eliminates the need for a Malaysia pre-paid SIM and fumbling with multiple SIM cards/phones when you crossed the causeway.

$8 a month for 3G/100min/30SMS is superb value for low data usage user. The downside is that it's a MVNO which may cease its operations at any time (as we had all experienced with TRON and Buzzme)

I also don’t know how long my Zero1 will last. I like it though.

Why good ? 1 whatsapp message = 1mb gone...

Just to be clear...

1KB = 1024 x 1B = 1024B
1MB = 1024 x 1KB = 1,048,576B

M1/Grid (telcos) compute/charges in block(s) of 1B.

Zero1/RedONE (telcos) compute/charges in block(s) of 1MB (= 1,048,576B).

So on Zero1/RedONE: if got any 1B block sent will be compute as 1,048,576B sent -- more than 1 million times when compared to M1/Grid.

Whether you think more than 1 million times difference in compute/charges for data blocks between telcos -- is important or not -- is up to each individual.

If my telco mobile plan is less than 5GB (i.e. 1GB, 2GB or 3GB etc.) -- personally I'll avoid using Zero1/RedONE telcos.

Basically, validity varies (depending on amount reload, etc), and Hotlink 50 days grace period before termination. Digi Live 90 days grace period, Digi Best 75 days. But it depends on the exact plan version too.

What’s the best digi plan to not let it expire ? Keep reloading every 90 days?

On Zero1. I don’t really care how they compute since it’s effectively unlimited. The managed speed is good enough for most purposes (eg whatsapp, surfing)

I also don't really care how you want to use your data, its your plan/phone/time.

Maybe I'm a bit slow but Hotlink now can just spend 1RM to reactivate it for 1 day!

Just need to dial *505#

I believe its only 1 time offer when you first get your hotlink sim, I also got this 1rm 1 day reactivation last year, after that try to do it again but can not. Got to use the sos topup as no reload ticket on hand...

You see, I first got the SMS on 3/7 which I proceeded to reactivate it and then it deactivated after 4/7.

I received a new SMS for the 1RM reactivate on 5/7
