Hi,

It depends on your grinder, and your technique.
Should be just over a minute .

Start up time maybe 10+ minutes from cold depending on model.

Cleaning wise, just flush the portafilter + grouphead.

Finally purchased the Brewtus.
After owning a Jura and Nespresso, I believe this should be the last stop. Since it's reputable that they can last forever.

For those considering between Nespresso and this.
Take note the cost of running the Nespresso for just a year can easily cost $1k. You have limited choices, and it's damn hard to get the capsules. The machines also don't seem to long, the extraction thins alot after a year.

As for the Jura, it costed me even more than the Brewtus machine. The repair costs and cleaning time is crazy.

Any coffee to introduce? I like to explore other speciality coffee.

I was trying those coffee sold at those HDB shops, those they use for coffee shops. Not bad at all. Intensity probably 10-12 in Nespresso's scale

So cheap, costed me about $18 for 1KG, enough for me to make hundred over cups! Damn happy.

After almost a month of using, I've already figured out how to use the machine without using my head.

Dose from grinder => Tamp => Dose.
Done.

Knock the used powder out => Put in the provided blind filter => Rinse.
Cleaned

I'm trying to get my hands on the supplies for Bezzera's coffee beans next week.

Get to try the real authentic style Italian coffee.

AVA approved with permit, so no worries.

$18 for a 1kg is a good deal.

There's many speciality coffee shops in Singapore right now, i believe there should be few roasters.

The highest end will probably be from Bezzera which we can only get a few pieces each month and start in April.

For exceptional quality, can consider Bezzera's Strega, even professional roasters are using them.

After over a hundred years of production, this is still the only lever semi-professional model Bezzera makes and all they need.

Bezzera Strega Espresso Machine - FINECOFFEECOMPANY Singapore Malaysia

It's basically a commercial lever machine, with very strong thermal stability coming from the architecture of how heating inducts.

Instead of using your hand to control, it's assisted by spring so it's a little more "automatic" and more consistent.
Extraction is done from a high pressure then gradually lowers.
This extraction with varying pressure creates definition and promotes clarity in the coffee's profile.

If you want the latest model with most of Bezzera's newer proprietary system and features, then it's BZ13.

Bezzera BZ13 Espresso Machine - Fine Coffee Company Singapore,Malaysia

Compare to the rest.
This is faster to start and repeat shots.
Strongest thermal stability.
Temperature control.
Auto dosage, so users no need to measure their shots.

BZ13 is a little easier to use, but all of them are not hard to pick up anyway,

Temperature is crucial as at different temperature, coffee will blossom its flavours differently.
If it's too hot, it overburns and disintegrates most of the delicate aroma.

All are using copper boilers, not brass which releases lead.
