dunno, i guess my circle of friends always complain starhub.
Yeah, their connection and reception not as good as M1. Latency is quite high for Starhub. M1 has lowest latency (best).

singtel is ok. but there are literally no offers from singtel (ie: towards unlimited data) that are equivalent to m1's offerings, it would be pity if they kept it only for pc show and not after as well. (at least for sim only)

Iím on max plan m1.
Thinking of upgrading to max + by early recontracting to get iPhone XS Max 256gb.
I seldom use the voice call, more on data.
Then I see mysim.
Anyone can advice me on the pros and cons of max+ vs mysim?
Thanks in advance!

first consider your replacement cycle (ie: 2 years or 1 year). then consider the total cost of ownership over that period. also include the residual value of the phone when you resell it.

for eg: singtel plans. I find the discount offered for a 2 year contract is $400 (for combo 2 plan) , that discount when you spread over 2 years is just $16/mth. as such. any sim only plan that is cheaper yet offers more data by $16 off a phone+contract plan is already much better

eg:
(2 year contract)
XO 48 plan $48/mth
apple care 368
caller id 5.35
Phone = 1678 (apple iphone xs max 512gb)
100 min talktime, 100 sms
5gb data base, free 5gb. add $18 for 18gb

(*exclude apple care and callerid)
so phone cost $1678, subscription $66 . over 2 years = 3262 , or $135/mth (for 28gb of data)
data cost is therefore. 1gb = $4.82

(1 year contract)
sim only plan $46.75
30gb plan + free 10gb = 40gb total
talk time 150m
sms 100
caller id 5.35
apple care 368
phone = 2349

(*exclude apple care and callerid)
phone cost $2349 + subscription $46.75, over 2 years = 3471, or $144/mth (for 40gb of data)
BUT cost of data is 1gb = $3.6

and as time goes by, i will always use more data. (I'm hitting 25-30 on my data plan and sometimes find myself having to throttle usage towards the end of month). I would probably jump ship to m1 mysim20 once my contract ends in may unless singtel manages to half my bill

So between Singtel, Starhub and M1, which provider has better coverage/signal for mobile data usage?

Singtel for coverage and speed.
M1 for lowest latency.
Starhub for unlimited weekend data.

Max plan is $102/mth.

You can only change to mySIM E 118. mySIM E 90 and below will be considered early termination.

Max+ have the $500 annual handset voucher, and is part of M1 Sunriser.

mySIM E 118 has unlimited everything (voice/text/call), capped at 50GB full speed + 1Mbps thereafter. Even the Max+ with Upsized Data Super only yields 49GB data with no unlimited data at throttled speeds.

Singtel - Expensive, poor customer service hotline, always have other charges.
M1 - Sometimes some areas will have weaker reception. Coverage still ok.
Starhub - Poor reception, often 4G speeds are slow

12 month contract: free caller ID.

No contract: no free caller ID.

I need caller ID. Do u think mobile plan monthly fee will go down within one year? If so, I would rather choose no contract. How much does M1 charge the caller ID? Is there an offer of the $20 simOnly plan in IT Show?

My current contract ends on 22 Mar. Could I sign the contract with M1 now and arrange to port current number to M1 on 22 Mar?

Hello, i would like to know if it is more worth compare to the combo XO plan ( I have $200 recontract voucher). And is the 20gb for only 1 year?

And is M1 the better choice? The coverage + deals?

Thanks!
