Recontract at M1 distributor shop before with just my driving license .. the counter staff said recontract can use driving license but new sign up must use NRIC .. this shd still valid bah..
Yeah usually IC required, as address is an important component. For foreigners not working in SG, passport ok but need address proof like utility bills etc....

For the same price of 25, which would you guys choose? M1 sim only or giga? Which coverage is better?

If want best coverage should be singtel gomo, but have some cons.
It also depend on your area actually.
Which telco you are using now? Stick to it if you quite satisfy with it.

Was at M1 shop just now, saw one lady talking nasty to the salesperson; why? Because the sales guy asked for her NRIC to check if she is eligible for recontracting...

Not sure how else she can prove she’s the rightful owner of a certain number ********* Drivers license? Same got NRIC number....
Actually what is the big deal if the telco request for ic. Don't understand the concern.

Ic number and address: definitely required to verify and register.
Dob, race, photo: is it so precious for other people to steal it??

If your area have good speed and coverage with starhub then continue using the same network (giga). M1 coverage is better but speed wise not as fast as starhub.

hey guys! pretty new in the sim only plan, mySH 2 years contract ending in 9 days!! i'm just looking for the lowest cost one with a little SMS, decent talk time and sufficient data (using 4 gb now and it's good enough).

though SH gave me a voucher - if i sign 2 years and flip the phone, i would be paying ~$18/mth for 2 years as i have hub club discount too. though they don't have sms, but it's 0.05c/sms and i won't use it often so no biggie.

i saw that CL cis plan looks decent, 26gb, 100min, 25sms, and with the perks it's about $14/mth.

would there be other comparable ones? if there is roaming, that is good enough for me (just need it to receive sms, i think gomo doesn't have this right?)

i think M1 is not bad, especially for the customer service portion... if u travel overseas, can use their data passport..

If you're able to get M1 CIS, get the iPhone (need to see what's the price) on mySIM e 70 and flip the iPhone. It can reach as low as $12-14/mth as well, but comes with 35GB data + Unlimited Weekend + Unlimited Spotify.
