All the 3 main telcos previously offerred between 2Gb to 4Gb data cap monthly. These days, 15GB to 20Gb data cap per month for SIM only plan, is the new norm. Is that good for u?

Quick question, say if I port in to Circles and enjoy the $10 rebate per mth ($28 plan), after 5 mths I port out to another telco, and then 1 mth later port back to Circles, will I start a new $10 rebate for 12 mths (if the promo is still available)?
depends on circles.. but i think it will be start afresh.. but all depends on their terms and cons.

The $10 rebate should be restart. But why would you want to do that? Isn't it better to do it when 11 months to 12 months? However if for the CIS free 3 first 3 months, this might not restart. You might want to just try out yourself. Anyway no contract, can switch out anytime.

Probably can't use huawei phones as comparison now as their prices are not stable due to the US ban. Should use iphone or samsung price for comparison. At least for iphone xr still looks the same pricing range.

the prices did not change, they shifted the plan tiers.. before the new plans, the em12+ was equal to the mysim70 in phone subsidy. for the first 2 weeks with the new plans, they matched the mysim70 with the new $78 plan. this week they moved mysim70 to the $50 plan subsidy. that's why all the phones became $200+ more expensive. the price is still the same on their website but everyone is actually paying more because the $70 plan is now $78 for consumer plans and the corporate customers have $200 less in subsidy.

For m1 sim only if i apply online, the first month will start counting from the next day of application, even if you receive the sim at a later date. Is this true? Anyone can confirm?

M1 has a weird billing cycle, at least for the first month. Mine started on the 5th of June but that cycle ended on 10th and then a new cycle was counted, stating 11th June to 4th July.

Your first month cycle begins once you go M1 Shop and the staff activate the SIM.

I thought all telcos have this type of billing.

I called M1 shop today to verify on the phone prices and subsidy tiers.

Eg: Samsung Note 9 :
$78 Public Plan = $188
$45.50 MySIMe70 = $388
$53.10 EM12+ = $588

Corporate plans no longer seem so attractive as before.

how come mysim70 phone cheaper than em12+? the last time i checked, both plans were in the same tier, equal to the $50/mth consumer plan

I'm not sure why is that so. Was quite surprised to hear of that too.

Hope M1 will revert back to the old subsidy tier.

doesnt make sense why the $53/m plan has lower phone subsidy than the $45/m plan
