Tried that before. Told them if no promo by the time my contract expires, might consider porting to other telcos. Guess what the CSO replied? Go ahead lor. Thanks bye
my case is similiar where other telcos is offering better deals. I told the cso if they are able to price match and ill stay but they end up only offered 3mths of match nia. So I jumped without further questions.

The irony about it is that 2 mths later, they came out with $18/mth deal with few months free plan.

Quite surprising that they can ad-hoc offer u. Usually can quote & check if can tag on existing promotion offer to selected customers. Anyway since they didn't offer anything to your liking, hop on to others. Not short of options these days.

imho CSO have some leeway of benefits they can offer (subjected to your negiotiations skill) usually in the form of VAS and stuff. basic plans and offerings to match competition is decision by HQ and not up to the cso to give.

nothing wrong with that what.

you are the one who ownself made the statement that you intend to switch after contract expires, CSO gave you the go ahead which is what you wanted.. then you complain when you get approval for what you wanted?

so after writing a feedback to the supervisors, and the supervisors reply back to you thanking you for your feedback but tell you that they don't see any wrong doings on the CSO part what will you do? tell the sup that you are going to write to the CEO and media and PM Office and hope that the sup will pee in their pants?

in this day and age if you still expecting to use this lame threat of porting out and expects the CSO to cry and beg you to stay and throw offers and freebies to you and cannot accept it when you don't get the answer you want, then you should really wake up your idea.

Sent from Samsung SM-G965F using GAGT
hannor... if u dare to threaten to port out if u don't get what u want... then better be prepared to execute your threat instead of KPKB...

just like CC fee waiver... u can call in to threaten to cancel card in order to waive ur annual fees... but if the CSO tell u cannot waive... then be prepared to go ahead and cancel...

Main differentiator is the contract. Gomo is no contract, while Singtel sim only (if you want more data) you will be locked into 12mths contract

thanks bro..

currently on combo 6 but under utilized

singtel sent me letter to recontract with 200 voucher

did some calculations

XO - 10GB
Cost/mth - 48
24 mths - 1152
Phone(Xs 256GB) - 878
Total cost for 24 mths - 1152+878-200(voucher) = 1830

SIM Only - 15GB
Cost/mth - 20
24 mths - 480
Phone(Xs 256GB) - 1899
Total cost for 24 mths - 1899+480 = 2379

cost wise seems like its better to go on XO ?

benefits wise definitely SIM only gives more and no contract tied

never do that... cos that's how the telcos fool u into thinking 2-year contract is more worthwhile...

https://mobilesquare.com.sg/collecti...-256gb-4gb-ram

it may be only true if the phone just released and u cannot wait to get it... then buying at 3rd parties will be close or same as RRP...

so if u account for 3rd party price... ur total cost for SIM only plan is about the same as 2-yr contract... and u get more data and no contract...
