May be because they charge 1B per block. Then more make and break connections ?

Just guessing... cause the 1B per block may be just charging purpose... just guessing.
I doubt so, that one is charging mechanism, it should not affect the actual data transfer.

In JB, need to manually connect to the network then only can auto roam.

not auto one...

Really? Many years back, M1 used to close to Singtel. Starhub was horrible with echo in the voice. Lots of area with no reception. You mean M1 went downhill while starhub improved? Last used Starhub 10 years ago

That's my understanding too. SH is the worst, ST best and M1 ok. Now I see feedback is M1 worst !

Yeah, is it true? Cos the last time (10 years ago) I switched from Starhub to Singtel was because the reception, like I mentioned, was bad at many areas, and with echo in voice. If they have improved, won't mind changing as some of the MVNO are using Starhub at cheap price.

From close to 6am use the circles life till now, my experience is that it is not so bad as what most mentioned. I find the coverage and speed ok so far. Of course I have not tried it at mrt underground or shopping mall baseman etc yet. So far so good.

However, I noticed one killing part, I can feel that my iPhone battery was greatly affected. Although I have not seen no coverage on the new Sim yet, it is very very noticeable that the battery drain is very very obvious. My battery drops like siao for no reason even within coverage. However, when I use it to surf web etc time I never feel any slowness at all. Not sure if you guys have the same problem?

Starhub 1gb for $5 3days should be more than enough. If say for grab lol.

2nd way which I usually do is after ciq if going by bus or train is to buy local Sim there plus 2 5rm top up tickets. Add up to roughly 10sgd. Can really be worry free lol.

I find it a bit troublesome to change sim cards.

Personally, I just subscribe to the data roaming plan which is typically $5 for Singtel.
