I couldn't help myself and took the plunge into Grid as a third SIM. Using it on my spare phone and using the spare phone as a hotspot haha.

Amount of data is quite overkill.

The 20GGB all in at $20 recently was a sweet deal.

There's no such thing as overkill....
Else all cars should be limited to 100 to 110 km/h....

I think it's just better to have choice.

Eg of SH plans.
1. No contract
2. Free Caller-ID
3. Choice to get 100 sms with recurring bill
4. Add data at $10 for 50GB (promotional, else $20)

Most Telco charges $10/1GB.... after exceeded the initial bundled data.

It's always better to have choice thou. SH does not have cheaper options, unlike other mvnos.

If hawkers under social enterprise must have at least 1 menu item at certain price point.
IMDA should also enforce Telcos to have similar low end plan options for ALL. Not just those lower income (or selected) group.

Yes, there's prepaid.... where you could control your usage to the cent....

Woah I'm not entitled to give an opinion?

Manufactures can manufacture a car at 500 km/h.

If you drive in SG, that speed is an overkill.

So same goes to a SIM plan. You can come out with a 100GB plan.

But not everyone is watching or downloading videos all the time.

Some may prefer lower subscription cost in exchange for smaller data.

And like I said, 10-20GB at lower cost may potentially be a sweet spot.

Yes they do.
M1 no longer offer surfshare for their SIM only plan. If you have existing surfshare lines, they will be converted to $12 SIM-only plan IF the main line is switched to the current SIM-only plan.

I’m having surfshare on my $25 SIM only plan. Top up $10 per month. Total only paid $35 for both my phone and iPad.

Either you are referring to the Multi-SIM or you have SurfShare from long ago that can still be tied to MySIM plans. As far as i know, SurfShare has always been $12, and M1 has decommissioned surfshare plans for new signups. Old surfshare plans will get converted out to standalone $12 SIM-only plan (this $12 plan not available for signups either) when there is a change/recon to the main line.

When the old surfshare plan gets converted out to a standalone SIM-only plan, M1 will maintain the cost @ $12 for 3GB, 100mins and 100sms.

agree... those who like to pay extra $$$ to get 20GB data and 1000min when they never need more than 5GB and 100min by all means pay for it... they happy can liao... some ppl maybe like to pay the extra $$$ for the "ease of mind" knowing that they cannot exceed and don't need to think twice when they try to make some phone call or stream some video...

for me i am pragmatic... if i know i don't need that much data/talktime i prefer to pay less every month.... besides even if suddenly one month i need more data or talktime i can always pay for excess usage for just that month... my mind is always at ease so i have no need to pay extra $$$ for data / talktime i dun need...

wacky

Agree. That's why I move out from M1 and not sign up with Singtel and Starhub as I don't need so much data, talktime and SMS.

Signed up for $10 giga. The comfort of just need to pay $1 for 100 min more talktime or $2 for 1GB more data as and when needed is reassuring.

If the 🚦still don't wake up, they will start losing customers to MVNOs. I will move my father out from Singtel once his contract end. To pay $27 when he don't use any data or SMS is crazy.
