I have been on Coinbase for about 6 months now. Have bought BTC, ETH and LTC, sold them and withdrew the cash successfully via the Xfers route.

Right now Xfers doesn't allow topping up your account anymore as the feature is under maintenance. I just signed up for Gemini and is waiting for verification.

Will be happy to help anyone who has questions about Coinbase or just crypto in general (disclaimer: not an expert, I learn by reading up and own experience).

Curious. Why some bros here move from coinbase to gemini besides the fees?

Limited purchase limit is also another drawback.

Coinbase maximum limit is $3000 weekly

Anyone knows why some ICOs are banning SG from buying? I thought SG is a hub for fintech and crypto where a lot of these ICOs are even registered over here. Kinda annoying getting blocked out from investing in them.

Why are you surprised that our government is restricting its people from getting untraceable profits?

The reason is due to SEC considering ICO like IPO and tokens issued are considered as Security

https://www.coindesk.com/securities-...y-token-sales/

MAS follow SEC suggestion.

http://www.mas.gov.sg/News-and-Publi...Singapore.aspx

5 Where digital tokens fall within the definition of securities in the SFA, issuers of such tokens would be required to lodge and register a prospectus with MAS prior to the offer of such tokens, unless exempted. Issuers or intermediaries of such tokens would also be subject to licensing requirements under the SFA and Financial Advisers Act (Cap. 110), unless exempted, and the applicable requirements on anti-money laundering and countering the financing of terrorism. In addition, platforms facilitating secondary trading of such tokens would also have to be approved or recognised by MAS as an approved exchange or recognised market operator respectively under the SFA.

ICOs now prefer just to banned US/SG from their ICO to make it easier for them.

everything also anti-G, when you lose money from crypto you will blame G for not regulating too.
