Which bank to deposit foreign cheque?

I have a USD foreign cheque that needs to be cleared in the US, was wondering which local bank should I deposit it into to minimise handling fees? TIA...

Citibank. Are you satisfied?

No fees or charges if you deposit into USD account.

Why? Cos Citibank is US based. They can route your checks back to the US for clearing. Of cos if you deposit into SGD account with Citi, then fees/charges apply, but still cheaper than local banks lah.

PS: Local banks minimum handling fee for US issued checks starts from $20. Don't say I never SAY.
