thanks for the strong response 💪
answer is I dunno how to answer most of them LOL

1. the age mentioned is ANB
2. I dunno what I want but I can give a picture for profiling. not intending to have any children, so its me and my spouse. hoping that the money we earn from work(employee) is enough to last us and having good retirement . so I guess we have to hedge against inflation and rising cost of livint/healthcare. the money gain from investment is solely for me/spouse.
3. in terms of policy term, best to be cheap, yet be long enough to match average dying age of a person.
Hmm! Perhaps some guiding questions would aid you!

1) Till what age do you both wanna be covered till? Normally people set from 65-80

2) Do you want to get coverage for ECI? CI? TPD?

3) For term coverage, mainly is to safeguard in the event of unfortunate events. If you are looking at retirement, we can always do proper retirement planning instead!

What is the best Term plan in Singapore? Highest coverage for lowest cost.

Also for Life Plans, met up with a few, TM seems to give the best per dollar coverage.

Thanks in advance
Aivia mindef / MHA grp..1 million pay out..

From AXA Direct, comes with extra 50% coverage for first 3 years. Premium already includes 20% perpeptual discount.

Better to add on ECI if it is of a concern

Till age 70 @ $793.60/year

2) $1mil Death/TPD, $250k ECI
Till age 70 @ $2066.10/year

Till age 70 @ $1390/year

2) $1mil Death/TPD, $250k ECI

Good to get it under the the mindef for its premium!

But for newborn, normally would suggest getting a wholelife instead as overall, the premium would be in your favour in the long run

I will only recommend wholelife for newborn, totally dont recommend term for newborn. A stepping stone for them. They can increase coverage at milestones such at married, buy new house, graduation etc.

Being said that, u did not mentioned anything about your hospital plan and also nv mentioned about having disability income insurance.

Whole life will be more "value for money" in the long run, as it is cheap for newborn and only need to pay for 20/25 years. By the time your daughter finishes uni, she can also decide if she wants to surrender for the cash value, as it would have already been paid finish/finishing soon, with quite a good cash value. Most of my clients who have an whole life bought for them by their parents, usually surrender because their cash value is very good, and then get a term (because they are looking to boost their coverage as well).

Term plan is cheap, but will have to continue paying for it. It can be add-on at a later stage in life to boost her coverage (by herself or you)

You will have to decide which one fits your priority more

how about ILP plans?
How about checking their costs and fees, and then (if you're sane) you'll run away as fast as you can.

(What's the title of this thread?)
