Hihi. My bonus interest fall from $77 to $75. Anyone knows why?
That one is counters if im not wrong?
Bonus interest is based on previous month, ie Jun, which has only 30 days compared to 31 in May, thus the slightly lower bonus interest

You should request for a new RM, with the reason that your current RM is incompetent.

Login and saw the account indicated as Inactive. How will it affect the account?

There is a Activate button and I activated it with SMS OTP.
If like that is not troublesome. Just click of a button. So becoming inactive also no big deal lah...

Just opened my account. They were telling me that the minimum amount will increase to 70k starting from Nov. And he confirmed that the sibor rates are rising. They use the lowest rate for the month which was 1.4% last month. Should be 1.5% for Aug..
Write complain letter to the bank for staff spreading rumours

Will be higher soon. 10 year JGB sell off big time leading to selloff in US 10 year notes as Kuroda said he will allow 10 year yields to double to 0.2%.

Higher rates are coming...

2.4% in liao ... nice !

No issue, I had the same experience.
Funny thing, logging in doesn't = activity.
Must do $$ transfer then counted.
So set up giro $1 in monthly.
It seems being inactive in this case has no implications

A year ago, no such button to click to activate.
Go to bank, show face and IC, then they make your account active again.

If like that is not troublesome. Just click of a button. So becoming inactive also no big deal lah...

This account is just killing it with the rising 1 mth sibor + max 12 counters
2.4% for a SGD savings account is crazy.

Inactive for a long time will become dormant and there is no button to activate dormant account. Need to go branch to do it.

Why don't just FAST $1 into the account once every quarter, that will keep the account active.

An inactive account will not allow you to withdraw fund and sometimes can't deposit into it as well. Interest crediting by the bank should still proceed (but since it is initiated by the bank, is not counted as activity since activity needs to be user-driven). Not sure about bonus counter but why leave it in doubt.
