usually when you guys want to make a withdrawal on this account, is there a good period (ie 2nd , 3rd week) so that the interest is not affected too much ... even though i planning to close this before end of the year.
Can only withdraw interest that has already been credited if want to keep the counter.

31st December.
If u pump on 1jan, is a holiday and as such valued only on next biz day, which in turn means your Jan min balance is still at 15k

I think do it on 31Dec better cos the balance may not be updated on new year's day. In fact 29thDec better just in case the balance not updated on sunday, new year eve or new year's day.

Many other options availabile, 70k is a huge opportunity cost.
Any other options? I will have 4 counters with 70k by the time 2019 rolls around. Not fond of fixed deposits.

even though remain at 0 and no deficit, if it remains at 0 for more than a few more months, the bank can terminate the account anytime

thanks for the clarification.
this is a joint account that i intend to close as just keep my own individual MG account.
too lazy to go to a bank to close over the counter & dont know will encounter what kind of errors etc.
