Oohs... My bad... I had misread foxer77’s post.... I thought he said only received the notice of change of T&C in Jan... by snail mail..... but he actually mean the statement...

btw I didn’t received any snail mail, only email on the change of T&C .... but I think there r people who might miss the email, and found out only when they received their feb e-statement.... maybe some doesn’t even check their e-statement... and not aware at all...

I thought change of T&C, notice by snail mail is a standard practice by banks, or this has been changed recently?

Can you tell me which bank don't have such clause ?

You don't need to look for PB or RM to register for the top-up promotion.

Can just walk in to any branch and inform them you would like to register for the CNY top-up promotion (the info is available on their website).

I did my top-up on 1st Feb and signed the TNC at Punggol branch last Friday.

I din know about the top-up promotion until i read this thread.
(not sure if I had received this notification mail from citibank... But confirm there are some emails discussed here which I am sure I did not receive)

Hmm sounds like there's some room to maneuver. Will give it a try. Thanks!

Did you guys manage to get the top up promotion form signed for topup done on 31 Dec ?

I emailed to them. On 26 Jan receive email that forwarded to bank officer to assist me. Till 2 Feb no one called so I called hotline. Say will send reminder but likely will contact me after the public holiday. Till today no calls.

Citibank banker service really sucks.
Went to Tampines MRT "branch". Staff there never heard of the promo. Ask me to show. Then say must go to those account opening branches.

Are the Citibank MRT branches for show ? Seems like they cannot do anything. Few months back I wanted to deposit $15000 cash they say cannot and ask me to go to the cash deposit machine (which is not even at the same office but on the other side of the MRT station.

Today I say I heard just need to sign a Form. They say cannot do there. Hotline told me I can go to branch. Did not say must be account opening branch.

All 3 staff sit there do nothing. No customers at all.

Located at mrt are called Citi "Instant Banking Centre", a glorified name for credit card matters really.

Banking stuff have to be done at a real Branch. Even if IBC have a form for u to fill, don't do it there. There were many examples in the past where those filled forms takes weeks to get from IBC to a proper branch to process.

Mine worst, filled in a form at Orchard mrt branch, and no news, until I called them after one month, they investigated and told me they lost the form. Another instance was filled in credit increases form at paragon, after 2 weeks of news, called my rm to check, and form is still at paragon and rm has to drop by paragon to pick up the form for me for processing

Then Citibank waste money. A temp booth at shopping centre can do credit card and other banks outsource it. Why pay rental and hire staff. Really for show to make their website look like they have so many branches.

They use to have a proper branch at Tampines but closed down now. Can't believe they don't even have a proper branch at Tampines/Bedok. Think they not interested in HDB customers. Rather open branch at Holland V and Marine Parade.

citibank all along has never been that interested in retail customers.. if not why do you think the maxigain T n Cs already got changed ?

plus a 15k min balance is to also deter most retailers from opening accounts with them... their targets are the wealthy

To open a MaxiGain account, is it better to go to a main branch like at Parkway or Punggol rather than those branches located at MRT station for example Tampines?

Another question is on the interest withdrawal for MaxiGain. When will the monthly interest come in? And say if it comes on the last day of the month and I make a withdraw the following month on the 1st or 2nd, it will not affect the bonus interest right?

Sorry if the questions have been asked before.

Interest in on last day of the month. Can withdraw entire sum of interest. Just make sure the balance in account not lesser than previous month.
