if u're not ready to hold your ground not to buy any products, better don't meet. it's easy to be swayed by their words and charm.

I turned away (politely) all requests to meet up.

Just signed up for another joint maxigain. Anyone knows if balance in joint maxigain acct roll up to total AUM to qualify for citigold?

In addition citigold aum is $200k or 250k?

To get counter rolling asap best practice is to topup in same month of acct opening?

Sorry for multiple qns

>> Top up on the account opening day. Top Up minimal to your Joint account to clock counter.

To answer your question I would like to refer you to point 7 of the terms and condition. And I quote:

The lowest balance of the month that your MaxiGain account is opened will be the lowest amount of funds in your
MaxiGain account at any point in time in that month. The lowest balance for the first month will be zero if the MaxiGain
account is not funded on the day it is opened. If a cheque is deposited on the day of account opening and valued only
the next working day, and no other cash amount has been deposited into the Maxigain account on the day the account
was opened, the lowest amount of funds for that month is zero and will not accrue any Bonus Interest.

So to accrue interest and avoid paying the account fall below fee, you have to deposit $15,000 on the day you open your account without using cheques and provided you do not have other facilities with the bank that count towards TRB.

so doesn’t make sense to put 150k in the account at one shot ? cos only 1% interest?

like what most suggested, leave 15k inside and let the counter roll.... until the interest exceeds what other banks offer then dump the rest inside.

after all, the reason is to maximise interest. hence, a bit of self work is necessary. you can't have the cake and eat it.
