oh ya...my bad..

0.6 for counter 12 (that's having to put in this bank for 1 year)
sibor 0.25/2 = 0.125

total: 0.725

slightly better than Maybank isavvy..but..you need to be in maxigain for 12 months..I think 99% of people already left.

360 was at 2.45% (now 1.25%), musical chair was at 2.1% (now 0.7%), Jumpstart was at 2% (now 1%), FastSaver at 1.325% (going to be 0.825%)... Eventually all will adjust. That's why I don't want to be first responder to immediately shift here shift there like 逃难 like that, very the 麻烦

Problem with Citibank Maxigain is counter drops when you withdraw. Other accounts I will still keep and can move back if tide change. But Maxigain once withdraw just close because need to climb ladder again.

Wah all fall quite a lot. I am lucky to have parked my life savings in cimb before the rate dropped to 0.3%, it was 1.8% then.

i have half my life savings in long term interest of 1.8% to 2.15%...count myself lucky if the bank rate is to remain low for next 1 - 2 years.

For reference, based on my calculations, base interest paid out over the last two years has been approximately the following:

2020-06 0.125%
2020-05 0.188%
2020-04 0.455%
2020-03 0.606%
2020-02 0.841%
2020-01 0.858% // bonus interest reduced to 0.05% per counter
2019-12 0.885% // 50% of 1m SIBOR
2019-11 1.230% // 70% of 1m SIBOR
2019-10 1.298%
2019-09 1.312%
2019-08 1.315%
2019-07 1.318%
2019-06 1.319%
2019-05 1.302%
2019-04 1.279%
2019-03 1.289%
2019-02 1.260%
2019-01 1.242% // 70% of 1m SIBOR
2018-12 1.358% // 80% of 1m SIBOR
2018-11 1.296%
2018-10 1.213%
2018-09 1.210%
2018-08 1.219%
2018-07 1.200%
2018-06 1.138% // 80% of 1m SIBOR

so what's the max for maxigain now? 0.125%+0.6%?

For June 2020, it was effectively 0.125%+0.6% if you maintained 12 counters.

Even CIMB has reduced the interest for their FastSaver and StarSaver accounts wef 15 Jul. =( It might be a while before things get better again.

I see no point in keeping this account. Many of us already jump ship in Jan and earned better interest in the past 6 months

Saw rates dropping everywhere and was wondering if this will somehow end up slightly higher.

I finally gave up and close on 1 Jul.
