Of course there's also the change in title. If somebody wants to give me his/her home, thanks I guess, but I'd never ask a parent to give me his/her home. That strikes me as most odd.

If you're really hell bent on extracting unrestricted cash from your CPF account, I think you're allowed to transfer at least Special Account funds to your parent's Retirement Account, then transfer your own OA funds to replenish your Special Account. Upon the parent's demise the Retirement Account residual goes to his/her CPF nominee. I hate to be morbid, but if your parent is in poor health then that won't take long. Yes, there are a fair number of people who do exactly what I just described.

the transfer will involved some transaction charges as well
Yes, good point. These costs are non-trivial.

sure or not

I just call my relative , she claim CPF letter stated Aug 27

till now she haven't received it in her bank account . kinda like past 2 weeks
How can I not be sure? I completed the online form to withdraw the deceased's money and within a week I got the money credited into my posb

In fact the Board was sending reminder after reminder to me to withdraw the bequest when I actually wanted to leave the deceased's untouched. In the end, I have no choice but to withdraw it just before the end of 7 years as no interest will be paid after that.

Correction. Checked my record.

Online application was made on 2 Nov and the amount was credited on 12 Nov of year xxxx.

Suggest she log into her CPF account and under My Requests complete the Application to withdraw deceased member's cpf.

CPF standard is acknowledging all emails received and would be processed within their stated service standard unless there is complication.

What did she actually emailed. Was the original posted?

Besides account number, I think only posb is recognised. If you put other bank then gone case.

is not e mail , is Return form from CPF .

CPF send letter back to her and noted will do process the withdraw

I just call her , she going to update another POSB bank account that is her personal

as she " thought will be credit into another POSB account which is under her name and kid name , joint account "

this relative of mine .....

Is already Credited ...is HER PERSONAL POSB account not in Joint account with her kid.

I guess CPF is make it simple , hassle free wait people debate about the money." if " credit to a joint account ba .

PROVIDED the user ONLY HAVE ONE POSB account and happen is joint account perhaps CPF will credit to this account since you ONLY have one POSB account.

What is there to be shocked?

I followed a friend to deliver food to an elderly couple who lived in a 3rm flat. They withdrew their CPF, though no much, cause the son wanted to start a business. With the money, the son disappeared to Australia leaving the old folks to take care of themselves.
