Good to know. Thanks, bro!
I thought the placement didn't meet some requirement.

The best rate is 1.9000%
... offered by CIMB SGD FD promotion (online)
... for a term of 12 months
... netting you an estimated $1900.00

For OCBC, $100K fresh funds only gives $1000 vouchers, but as above CIMB gives $1900 cash, what do you mean by OCBC is better?

Also the online does it means i have to bank transfer to CIMB?
but OCBC only locked for 6 months, right?

Funds to be earmarked for 6 months so I regard it as a 6 months fixed deposit. CIMB's 1.9% offer is for 12 months; their 6 months offer is 1.70% pa which would yield $100k x 1.7% / 2 = $850.

vouchers is only good for issuing banks cos they prob get these vouchers at steep discount since they buy in bulk. so effectively they earn more giving u vouchers compared to just interest. also these days i buy almost all my groceries online- sheng shiong or fairprice. hate to carry that 10kg rice and eggs home. cannot use vouchers for that.

the biggest regret savers have these days is to lock in large sums of money in FD over a long time with rising interest rates. one tip is to spread out the sum into smaller denominations so that in case need money, still can break part of the piggy bank. E.g. instead of putting 50K FD for 1 year, put 10K, 10K and 20K denominations. so if suddenly need 20K for something or to take advantage of higher interest rates, don't need to close the full account.

these days, i am beyond quibbling over 1.8% or 1.85% or 1.9%..i have progressed to quibbling over 4% or 5%.

cheers.
