Multiple Fixed Deposit placements for CIMB are accepted as long as:

1) fresh funds
2) minimum of S$10,000

Support banks that offer deals with no gimmicks.

Hi all, may I asked if I have 13k on hand now n would like to get them deposit to earn as much bank interest as possible, which bank account should I park them at?
A few points to note are,
- Iím looking to put in <$500 every month as long term savings
- Enables me to make fund transfer to this account easily via my POSB IB
- Most likely wonít withdraw until maturity unless unforeseen circumstances cropped up

Thanks in advanced!!

Depends on age and when you mention long term, how long exactly? At age 70? Make sense to do more understanding on your financial standing now and earnings to access the best solution.

I'm in my mid 30s. By long term i meant not touching this money unless necessary. Upon maturity if there is another bank with a better interest rate I will shift my savings over there too. As for financial standing wise, like i mentioned, contributing >$500 every month is comfortable for me.

Please search for Mr Canberra. His views are not far off from where you should be headed. To save important resources, you can just skip the ads by local banks.

I have local born Singaporean friends who are accountants who don't know about banks offering best rates. They simply can't be bothered.

Iím definitely like one of your friends. With no prior experience working in the banking industry n no plans to open new saving account thatís why I never bother to find out which bank offers what rates. But now that I have intention to hence I posted my first post here.

Any one knows what is this product? Pics taken at Cecil Street branch beside the temporary hawker centre of Golden Shoe car-park.
