If a couple starts a joint account fd, sum insured under sdic would be $140k right ?
It's 75k per person per bank.
So if a couple with only FD account in the bank will be covered 150k under SDIC.

From April, e$aver has dropped the interest rate.
And come May, Maybank i-savvy will also drop.
So what is the best place now to put the fund for FD ? (I know there are single premium insurance product for 3-5 yrs, but how about beside that ?)

TIA.

Depends on the rate of isavvy, if drop not much still keep with it. If not CIMB Fastsaver but only for 100K

DBS cuts fixed deposit rates for 9-12 months and $100k and above, as well as 18 months onwards. Inverted yield curve - rates at $100k and above are lower than below $100k.

DBS/POSB will cut interest rates on deposit accounts. Will be 0.05% pa across the board.

My ICBC 1.9% FD is maturing in August.. I don't think I will be able to renew at such good rates.
