aiyah, sorry to use big words.
At 6 mth you can choose to leave it in for another 6 months at 1.5% or take it out without penalty.

wow...its been a while since i log into here...until i need to change new password..

recent months parked money with citibank to offset mortgage interest,...now prop gone liao, so money free up.. looking at FD rates again,..

i think its right time oso...reckon rates will creep up more going forward...surprised no one talks about Sing dollar strengthening by MAS?..i believe it will push IR up eventually. usually the impact is the other way,...ir goes up, currency up...but in SG case, only play with currency,..but ir will eventually move also.

so would suggest dont lock in too long too early...the skies i think are finally clearing for us savers!...boys! our prayers have finally been answered...for far too long we have been bashed with peanut ir,..last 5 to 6 years maybe?...

As of today, the rate is 1.6% for 12 months for minimum deposit of $50,000. It takes up to three days to open the account.

Free parking at the bank if you drive.
