O87.SI - GLD US$ - SPDR Gold Shares.

Buy Gold Shares (O87.Si) with your CPF-OA if you believe Gold will be going up.

Good luck.

It's not enough to go up! Your Ordinary Account already goes up at a rate of 2.5% compounded annually.

No, you have to be highly confident that those shares, less the significant CPF Investment Account costs, less significant brokerage costs, will reliably beat 2.5% interest -- or 4% Special Account interest since you're able to transfer OA dollars into your SA if you're still below the Full Retirement Sum.

Gold shares is paper gold, not actual gold. You should get gold coin or bar instead.

what kind of advice is this ?

it is no different from "buy any stock from the exchanges in the world if you believe it will go up "

Why CPF OA? I rather use savings.
But why gold? Iran is de-escalating, Trade war is in truce.
Don't know how to believe it will go up.
