are all the DVD/blu-ray stores closing down?

another point of history that bite the dust...

they used to be rather popular but now all closing down... like TS etc...

near my house, an independent DVD store just close its doors after many many years. so sad.

ppl dont buy such discs anymore?

You can import if you want.

I used to buy from these stores, but the online and retail price difference is one heaven one earth, $60 (movie only) vs $30 (with extra features)

Buy online better, no brainer.

yah, i think importing also cause all these to die

esp of censorship so i almost always import...

i think stream or download is even faster than the travelling time to get to the store

West area used to have quite of numbers of lasir flair store. Now left at lot1 and west coast plaza. I rent bluray from them.

I am surprised to see poh kim still survive till now. A latest movie dvd cost up to $19.90 and the bluray version cost $39.90. A original bluray movie buyer would order from amazon at half of the price. A physical copy of bluray is still better than download and still worth to buy from amazon once the price drop below US $10.

really huh? sorry to hear that, hope never lose a lot of money.

next time kids would not know these kind of stores le... last time i like to shop and see which latest dvd got nice features... :(

just like arcades... no more le....

Until we get a solid solution for 4k streaming, 4k blurays are a welcomed thing. Now I just got to get to 2019 to when I can afford a 4k TV.
