Anyone know the requirements to get a front line vocation in terms of shooting? Is 2nd class enough or is 1st class or marksman needed
No requirement, its the luck of the draw if you get frontline or not. You could be a marksman, gold for ippt etc but if for some reason they deem you unfit for frontline you will get a non frontline vocation

Just means that you will be doing your ptp and entering 2 months earlier so more physical trg at the start. As for vocations you are eligible for all frontline and nonfrontline vocations. You can find out more from their website.

Just have fun and enjoy life at HTA. I heard they have toned down the trg there alot because of "training mishaps"

Either way vocations wise all are very good and beneficial regardless of frontline or not so dont worry too much.

No. You will be given options to write your "preference" but its not guaranteed. E.g. some put frontline vocations as their preference but ended up as NSOSO and vice versa

During ur basic trg @ HTA u will be given a form to fill up ur choices of frontline/non-frontline vocations BUT it will also depends ur performance, CM's recommendation, manpower deployment of the units etc..

Trust me they wont. I would know :3
I cut my hair the standard number 1 2 days before enlistment. They looked at it and said no need. Because you wouldn't be showering until evening and thats a looong time away
