NS: Given 2 years deferment. Feel like I am in an impossible situation now.

Context:

Long story short, I'm 24 now. Ran an investment business when crypto currencies were doing well. Market crashed and I found myself 500k SGD in debt from various sources, including but not limited to suppliers who owe me 120k of hardware declaring bankrupt and not delivering on the contract. So I have no way to recover my funds to pay back investors, family etc.

Further context, besides investments, my main business was in mining. I ordered 120k of gpus to cater to my customers, among who were my family members and friends. The supplier was supposed to deliver my goods within 2 weeks. 6 months later, after entertaining excuse after excuse, I took him to court and he declared himself bankrupt. I have no means to repay this massive sum owed to my loved ones. The only thing I can do is work and slowly pay back everyone. I have been getting death threats, people showing up at my house, etc. I am in an unimaginable situation and honestly can't bear to live any more. Working to pay back my debts will take me decades.

Naturally, this put me in a terrible mental state, overcome by depression, terrible anxiety and other mood related problems. Saw a psychiatrist for medication for 4 months while seeing a psychologist to talk about my problems. Then I was called up for NS. I gave my specialist memo, and I've basically been on MC for 4 months.

During this NS time, I'm obviously unable to work so all I can do is constantly apologize to the people barraging me for their money. I don't blame them, I would do the same.

I just got back from PCC appointment at MMI. The conclusion is the psych there, instead of PES F, they have given me 2 months MC followed by 2 years of deferment.

Knowing that in 2 years, I'm going to have to do this **** all over again is giving me huge stress. Also no company that can pay me a reasonable salary will hire me knowing that in 2 years I have to go and serve NS. I really do not know what to do.

I lost 750k from business b4. But luckily for me, I had advice and foresight not to take money from family. Family debts are the worst on the soul. Even if my father is a billionaire, I will never take them.

The business was sold at a huge loss and friends became enemies. Everyone took losses. No choice just have to slug on. Everyone know that there are risks in business and you just have to pray that people have the wisdom to carry on.

But maybe you made too much promises and took loans instead and is in a shittier circumstances. You get a 2nd chance one day. Don't ever take loans to startup your ideas again. Take investments. If no one invest in your idea, your idea isn't ready and you refine till people think you are worth a shot.

24 is too young to surrender. Settle your family first and get debt consolidation assistance.

either u wait till the medical board to review your status following the MC + NS delay to down pes to effectively discharge from NS

or u suck it up and move on to recover from your personal challenges

Regardless of whatever shyt life throws at u, exemption from NS is impossible unless u are born without two arms or two legs.

I emphasis 2 arms cos there is one chap with ONE arm who still did his NS.
