Yeah but omg the 6month waiting time is soooooooo long.

Maybe they didn't do well enough for their interview to impress them ? :/ if you want to work in SPF, there is no harm trying it again. Some individuals tried for years before being offered a place in SPF. don't give up!

Should I try out VSC as a fresh grad?
Or should I work full time first maybe in aux or some other job?
VSC is gonna pay like 800bux/m ( provided volunteering time eg is 8h a day, 5 days per week- not guaranteed) is the experience worth it? Does that higher the chance of getting into spf?
Honestly I'm interested in trying out vsc, but like as a fresh grad working temporary full time jobs, I don't think I can find the time for vsc training.

I mean I can always find time to stop working for awhile, complete vsc training, work full time in some other job, then volunteer on weekends since requirements are like min 8h/m

I would say apply for vsc first and also apply for a full time job
Currently in vsc rn the training commitment is not as daunting tbh since it is weekday evenings and some Saturdays
Unless you are doing shift work, it is not an issue for most people at least the ppl in the same squad as me

Btw you only start proper patrol work after 6mths of training so I would advise you to seek proper employment also

As for whether vsc helps in your app I would say it definitely is a plus especially if your TL can write a good recommendation for you which will be read by the panel but it is by no means a guaranteed success because my friend's tea sesh has a vsc dude but he didnt make it past rd1
