What's wrong with being a nurse? Why the sudden thought to switch?

Comparing ICA & Nurse, I can list a lot. Just to name some.

ICA JO have OT pay while Nurse do not have it.

As long as you have a degree in any major, you get a chance to apply for SO but if your Nitec in Nursing result is no good, you will forever be an Enrolled Nurse (Not a full nurse in layman term) because you cannot get a Polytechnic Diploma in Nursing that stop you to become a Registered Nurse.

Just wanna gain new experience in other fields. Nursing is tiring after sometime, physically and mentally. Other jobs are too, but I would love to learn something new you see😊
Nursing do not have any starting bonus or any OT pay. Just allowance only.
It has a good pathway though, but I am keen in joining ICA. But must you complete any IPPT or anything like that?

I think you will find Ica job less demanding and more time for yourself. The opportunity to earn more is also there if you do ot plus if you don't screw up majorly promotion is pretty much guaranteed in the long term. However, I can pretty much say without having any experience in nursing that being a nurse should be ultimately more rewarding and nourishing for the soul. Still up to you though.

No ippt needed for ica, but you'll need to be physically fit. There will be a medical.

Don't quote me as my sources might be wrong. All those starting course after 1st April will be under new scheme. Whoever fail any of the tests won't have retest. It'll be a straight dismissal from service. Currently scheme still allow retest if you fail.

Therefore if you really want to join, make sure you do the job well and study hard.

think twice before joining ICA. If you still think you suit ICA and ICA suit you, welcome onboard!
