Thank you!

Panel was around may 11 I think. Then document was 1-2 weeks before that. Applied online around a month before that

ahh i see. thats really long. May i ask if they offered you a salary that meets the expected salary that you had put - was there any haggling or negotiation over the pay? And how was this information sent to you? Via a phonecall from HR a few weeks prior commencement of course?

I didnít put an expected salary so they just offered. I didnít try negotiating but I highly doubt that itís possible with government agencies. They will call you first. Then send an email

it is actually possible to negotiate over the offered salary, believe it or not. Because i have a goondu friend who put an initial expected salary of 3300 for this ICA SO position, and mind you he is a masters student (FCH degree) and had served NS. They literally offered him that salary. Realising that he was offered lower pay than he should be getting, he gave them a call and tried to justify a pay of 3800. He was told that the HR will get back to him. Days later, he received a call stating HR is willing to offer him 3600.

LOL so yes, expected pay that you put matters, and yes it is negotiable. Hope you are satisfied with the pay you are getting. Some sectors are more transparent than others. I know for a fact MOE pays a fixed amount of money to recruits based on the class of their degree.

Hi there, do they call u up for health screening first before getting the letter of acceptance? Congratulation for receiving the offer.

Also, I applied for Direct Entry Sergeant, this week is my 6th week of waiting and they told me I will know my current status latest by 8 weeks. Is it normal or anyone has to wait this long after interview? Hopefully I will get good news soon!

Thank you!

Which stage are you in now? You must go for interview first then medical screening. Yes each stage need to wait around 1-2 month

For those of you awaiting for a panel interview, i hope the information below will help.

I went for document submission on 9th of July. on the 23th of july, i got an email stating that i was rejected. So for those of you awaiting for an interview, if you hadnt receive any news from them by now, its probably good news. I seriously do not know what they are looking for in all honesty. I am a 4X dean lister from NTU, with no criminal record. I am PES C2L2 though but i had stated that i could do 12 pull ups straight despite my past shoulder injury.

So yeah, they can afford to be picky this time, probably due to the sheer amount of applicants. All the best to those who are still in it! Maybe my future lies in MOE lol.

did you apply to teach in primary schools? I heard rumors that MOE prefers females to teach in primary schools.

All the best man with your ICA training on the 30th. With your masters i think you should be able to move up the ranks very fast.

Hi everyone. My Bmi is currently at 28. I am quite muscular built. I have a IPPT silver. I wonder will it affect my chance during recruitment?
