Anyway, just to add on, I really want to thank everyone here as I followed this thread since the start of my application, reading from 150+ pages onwards, so all your timelines and experiences did help in my application.
To all of you future prospects, here is some of the advice i can give you
1) Read this forum as far back as you want, it will give you some hope HAHA
2) Watch youtube videos on interview tips, resume tips, i watched alot of Careervidz on youtube to formulate my interview answers. ( please dont copy ah, pick out what resonates with you and use it). When you practice your interviews do ask your friend if its fluid or if it sounds too robotic (later they think you chatgpt it)
3) Cant stress this enough but please find a friend or go linkedin and find people who work in the organisation to get a better understanding of what they do, they will give alot of helpful tips and their experiences. ask them what they do on a daily basis.
4) really practice your interviews with someone, focus on
-self intro , why you stand out, what are your strengths, are you detail oriented, leadership skills do help as they will ask you, 'oh i was camp chairperson so i led a group of 20 to plan and execute a camp etc'
- Why you choose ICA, read up on the workplan seminar, know whats happening in the future, technology etc, in other words, please study what the ICA does through and through, not just the recent mothership videos ah
- Be confident, know your strengths, weaknesses, be detailed.
- If you must know, whatever you say might lead them to enquire more on it , so be prepared. For example if i said that i am driven but did not explain further, so naturally they will ask you, how are you driven, give me an example.
5) They might **** test u, ask u questions that are hard to answer, if dont know, dont stutter, say hmm give me a moment to think, just make sure your replies are fluid
6) lastly, smile and be polite, remember to ask questions at the end to engage them, make them remember you.
All the best for everyone who are applying! do let me know if you are part of the june batch as well!
Other background info : i graduated from a local uni with bad GPA (no honours) but i think my interview really carried my ass, so dont be disheartened! Confidence is key!
