Hey guys, wanted to know what are the chances of a PES C signing on as an SO, read the thread but it dates back to 2015. Also saw from their FAQ it’s a case by case basis. I have no prior injuries and am a little overweight but i consider myself fit but of course not those super super fit.

Your probability is 50:50. Only ICA knows the criteria for acception and its dependant on why you are PES C. If fractures and stuff, i believe is fine. BMI will be assessed at a point. So might be one of the criteria

The waiting time is killing me.

Does anyone have any updates for their application for DEI? Here is my timeline so far:

Application submitted on Careers@Gov: 24 May 2019
Email received for document submission: 04 Jun 2019
Document submission/HR Briefing/Group Discussion Trial: 10 Jun 2019

It's been almost 5 full weeks since then, and no reply from them yet. I know someone who attended the same document submission with me who went for the panel interview on 24 Jun (2 weeks after submission), so I am afraid that I might not have been selected. My status on Careers@Gov is still stated as 'Shortlisted' though.

I gave ICA HR a call at +65 6391 6183 at the 3 week mark, and they said that my application is still being processed, and that I needn't worry because they couldn't possibly arrange for all applicants for the panel interview within the same day. But I thought it was weird that I was left out of the same group.

The only reason I could come up with for this is our availabiliity. I indicated a 1 month notice period while the other person was able to start immediately. I cannot confirm this but this is what I suspect based off of reading this thread.

The waiting time is killing me. I am looking forward to good news, but I'd rather just know early on if Im unsuccessful so I can move on. It'd be quite shitty to wait so long and then get rejected. Is no news really good news?

I'll update if there are any developments.

Generally..

Week 1 - sms to check email on doc submission
Week 2 - doc submission, tests and group trial
Week 3 - call for panel round and email on panel details
Week 4 - panel round (could be week 5/6 depending on the availability of the panelists)

Timeline may be adjusted also.. so just take this as a reference. If rejected after doc submission, an email will be sent.

Waiting for months is considered normal. Some of us have went through final interview and medical since march/april and are still waiting for offer till todate. There are also some who have already been accepted by ICA. My trial group consisted of 4 members. 1 was rejected right after the first round of interview, 2 of us who went the first panel are still waiting while 1 who went for a later interview and medical has already been accepted so doesnt mean going first will get the position.
No news is good news. ICA is rather efficent when it comes to rejection letter so they will let you know if rejected

Good luck people~

Hi people, just helping my cousin to ask, is ICA strict with normal colour vision? He told me he can see colours like everyone else, just that he couldn't see some of the numbers during the Ishihara test(the book with the wierd patterns for testing colour blind). I tried to do the Ishihara test online and I could see almost all the numbers very clearly, but my cousin took a very long time to see some of the numbers from the pattern.

I wonder which edition of Ishihara test booklet(24patterns or 38 platterns?) is the doctor using uh? My cousin can read the edition with 24 patterns one better though..... And he got his driving licence last year, so I don't think he's a colour blind leh

anyone who just did medical check-up can verify with the edition of Ishihara test booklet? I think it will be good for him to think of other job opportunities if ICA is strict with colour vision... Thanks

They are. My friend was rejected even without any interviews.if your cousin didnt clear his ns check , he wouldnt pass the ica as well. With regards to which edition the medical is using , I am not too sure as the nurse merely just flip a few pages on the booklet

If your cousin cant see the patterns on the test booklet, he might not be able to spot the security features on the passports/ic too
