question for sign on army

hi,
I am currently studying for my diploma left with 1 last sem with a 3.6GPA planning to go for degree and have not served NS yet. I am deciding on sign on army. apart from money, i actually do have interest on being a soldier doing training to be fit and other stuff. trying to set a target to earn 4kish per mth. and my question is since i am studying now am able to sign on as a officer? or do i need to wait for bmt? and also if i cant get in to OCS, then go for warrant officer or military expert? whats the diff between warrant officer and military expert? which one can go much higher rank to receive lesser **** between warrant officer and military expert?

for vocation i am thinking between guards, infantry and maybe commando and Intel. but if is ME i most likely would choose intel

Army is not all about keep fit. If you work for money, I don't think you can stand Army at all.

1. to be a sign on officer you must be able to go to ocs in your own merit i.e. selected for ocs during bmt. the other less common route is sign on from sergeant (scs route) first - but there are no guarantees that you will be recruited as an officer this way, plus you still need to go to ocs anyway, again, in your own merit.
2. warrant officer is basically non commissoned officers. military experts are more applicable in technical aspects e.g navy, air force and some army vocations e.g. saf ammo command; where basically you are the expert in your domain of expertise. anyway intel is only for ME..
As a Military Expert in Our Army, you will develop deep professional expertise in key military domains, such as technical, engineering, nursing and intelligence.
Both WO and ME ranks are more or less the same; for WO you need to go through specialist rank i.e. 3sg, 2sg... msg, then promote to 3wo. ME is depending on education level; if you sign on with diploma then you start with ME1(3rd-1st sergeant), when you get your degree you may be promoted to ME4 (2lt-cpt/mwo) depending on demands from the organisation. it's the same sh*t but different story.

seem like ME rank is much more spaces to climb up the ladder as ME there's ME1 to ME8 but WO is 3SG to CWO and if i had a degree i may get to be ME4 which is MWO at least ME4 i still have chance to go ME5 to ME8 rather then MWO only left with SWO and CWO? am i right to say that?

that means i am unable to sign on as a officer now and i have to go thru bmt then to go ocs in your own merit then i can sign on?

scs route is WO route right?

I believe you can sign on for the scheme. But f or the scheme to continue you u need to make it into OCS on your own merit.

my advice is don't sign on
1) People look down on you
2) No transferable skills
3) Cost Center

You either start as me1 or me4. Me3 to me4 is a giant leap and rarely people made that jump.

Instead of asking why you shouldn't sign, ask why yourself why you should sign first.

Nono. I'm not saying you shouldn't ask.

I'm saying you should ask yourself why are you even thinking of signing on.

ME5-8 is very very difficult lei... heck CWO is more respectable than a Major or LTC..cause it's so rare and hard. only the very best of the best.
