Hi all, I need help with my troubleshooting. Currently on 1gbps M1 plan for my resale house since Aug 2018.

Previously I was using the Asus router provided by m1 (1200g+), now using Asus AC87u. Both routers do not allow my pc to reach more than 100mbps on cat5e wired connection (tested using speedtest).

Things that I have checked, my pc (motherboard) supports 1gbps connection, lan cable is either cat 5e or cat 6 (wired by electrician from living room to bedroom).

Appreciate any replies!
U install yr motherboard Lan driver? If yes I should run 1000mpbs. Else likely is yr cable lousy.. Be it the wiring or the Lan cable u connect from pc to Lan point. Or router to Lan point.

Did you check the LAN cable between the ONT and router?
I believed I used cat5e for the cable between ont - router but I will double check when I get back. Any other possible things I have missed out? Port connection at ont or at router?

Does direct link from PC to ONT give you gigabits connection?

Anyone on 1gbps M1 fibre broadband? Is the speed up to standard? I keep getting the 100 to 200mbps range for speedtest on iPhone. It’s usually more than 300mbps last time.

Im on 500mbps plan, using wifi. Speedtest during peak hour like 9pm gives 120+mbps download and just 3mbps upload. Is the upload speed supposed to be normal?

Those on M1 fibre with static IP VAS, what is the IP assigned to you? 119.x.x.x or 175.x.x.x or 25.x.x.x etc?

Thinking of switching to M1 fibre too and get the static IP for my IPCam use.

Thanks.

I called M1 hotline last night, with regards to my consistently low speed. I've been getting 300-400mbps on Lan for a 1 GB plan.

I got a shock of my life. It's normal to get 400 plus Mbps according to the technical department

http://www.m1.com.sg/hbbspeeds

Only GamePro will achieve 900 plus consistently

It link says: 1Gbps 460.3 940.1Mbps

I wonder what's the IMDA guideline in this. Anyone knows ?
