Now I using Asus 56U direct. Same issue. Now monitoring for peak hour DHCP lease release.

When there is not much traffic I get to keep my same IP.

When peak hour. When the lease is up... my IP will get changed. Thats where my disconnection came from

Where there's not much traffic from your end then you get to keep the same IP?

I am using 56U direct on MIF also but my IP stays the same, are there any system logs from your 56U when the problem happens?

start from 5 to midnight...

I have 2 screenshot from the DLink RG which i send in to starhub. Unit Uptime 8 hours 8min. WAN uptime 7 mins. Unit uptime 6 hour 53min Wan uptime 2 hours 52 mins...

If u calculate the timing, it happened at 4 hours and 8 hours of the unit uptime when it first request for DHCP. Which correspond to the 14400 sec lease.

Of coz i need to get hold of more system log from 56U to shut Starhub off.

Has anyone managed to get a router, ideally the RT-N66U working directly with the Starhub ONT when the router has been Tomato'd ?

The default RT-N66U firmware sucks when it comes to decent DHCP management. I can't believe in this day and age manufacturers still get it so wrong.

Starhub asked for "one final chance" to fix it.

This time, again they proposed to connect directly to ONT. I agreed(last chance anyway). They said processing time will take up to 5 days altho will expedite, and will active my cable modem with MOL Ultimate for the interim period. Sadly my cable modem is DOCSIS 2 only so only can get max 30mbps...

What i dont like is that my demand for termination email was sent to Diana Lee (Head of CSO) yet i receive no replies from management level. Only a call from the technical support once again

Can't access devices from outside network

Hi HWZ Forumers,

Need your help as I can't get access to my devices from the Internet through the following configuration even though I've set up DMZ etc.

ONT LAN 1 -> DLINK DVG-N5402SP WAN Port
DLINK DVG-N5402SP LAN 1 Port -> TPLINK TL-WR-1043ND WAN Port

DLINK DVG-N5402SP Settings:
LAN IP: 192.168.0.1
DHCP disabled
DMZ set to 192.168.0.2
WLAN off
DyDNS enabled

TPLINK TL-WR-1043ND
LAN IP: 192.168.1.2
WAN IP Static: 192.168.0.2
WAN Gateway: 192.168.0.1
WAN Primary DNS: 192.168.0.1
DHCP enabled
WLan Enabled

The above configuration works fine but I've set up Virtual Server ports on my TPLINK to allow access to WOL, Remote Desktop and IP Cam. Note: I've been using this TPLINK for years with MOL 16MBps without any issues on Virtual Server access etc.

Virtual Servers
ID Service Port Internal Port IP Address Protocol Status Modify
1 3349 3349 192.168.1.200 ALL Enabled Modify Delete
2 8888 8888 192.168.1.253 ALL Enabled Modify Delete
3 9 9 192.168.1.200 ALL Enabled Modify Delete

Any suggestions on why I can't access my devices remotely. I set up it this way because the bloody Virtual Server on the Dlink provided is very intermittent and also the response when surfing is damn slow when I'm downloading at 9-10 mb/s.

can i take 1 as a example?

so you are trying to access a device which is 192.168.1.200:3349?
and hence from outside it should be DDNS:3349 right ?

so can i confirm, your 192.168.1.200 device remote page is configured as 3349 as well ?

and btw, I don't quite understand if the VS provided by Dlink is intermittent, does that mean you are using the VS from TP-Link instead? So your above VS is from TP-Link ?
