Planning on contracting on 16 - 19 March IT show.
I staying at choa chu kang
My priority is maximum internet speed/least latency shared by 4 to 8 people in gaming with one of this two contracts.

Viewqwest 2Gbps Single network
- Download Speed 2Gbps
- Upload Speed 1Gbps
- Can only connect one router
- 3 more Lan ports in the (Modem/Router) provided by Viewqwest
- 73.7 Mbps avg dl speed (Today) http://store.steampowered.com/stats/content/
- 100.8 Mbps avg dl speed (9 March 2016) http://www.theaaronloy.com/viewqwest-review/
$69.90

MyRepublic Gamer 1 + 1 Gbps
- Download Speed 1Gbps
- Upload Speed 500Mbps
- Can connect two router
- 0 more Lan ports in the ONT provided by MyRepublic
- 102 Mbps avg dl speed (Today) http://store.steampowered.com/stats/content/
- 42.8 Mbps avg dl speed (9 March 2016) http://www.theaaronloy.com/viewqwest-review/
$69.90

Which plan is better if I regularly invite 4 to 8 of my friends every weekend to game?

RT-AC88U ROUTER vs ASUS RT-AC5300 WIRELESS-AC5300 TRI-BAND GIGABIT ROUTER

RT-AC88U ROUTER
- 8 lan ports
- 5 GHz data rates up to 2167 Mbps and 2.4 GHz up to 1000 Mbps

ASUS RT-AC5300
- 4 lan ports
- Two 5 GHz data rates up to 4334 Mbps and 2.4 GHzup to 1000 Mbps.

Which router is better for shared gaming speed if most of my friends are able to get cat 6/7 cable?

Thank you for your time in reading and answering thank you!!!

Stay away from VQ for now.

I'm on VQ 2gbps and it's just overpriced with countless downtimes.

Their CSO don't even know what they are talking about and I had to set everything up myself and troubleshoot issues myself.

Which isp. I'm looking for one now
I went for the cheapest M1.

- My usage is only Youtube, netflix and surf net.
- Lifestyle has change.. No more gaming and etc. so I choose the cheapest ISP.

- I don't see What VQ is special as compare to others ISP (4 years ago and vs now)

Yes I am likely going to go with M1 once my contract with VQ is up.

Unless their customer service improves and offer at least some compensation, in cash or in kind for any outage.

Correct.

1) Good ISPs will tend to degrade over time. This is a simple logic from a business point of view. Corporates tend to maximize profits and cut costs.

2) Most importantly, don't OVERPAY for your internet subscription.

3) If same price, just go with preference. Personally, I am happy with Starhub.

4) For the best gaming experience, pay a small fee and go to a gaming shop. Not happy, go to another shop.
