thanks for the prompt response! I understand that Sound blaster cinema is a software driver for the realtek audio whereas the Xi Fi is a hardware chip from creative?

Also scratches is fine, but my concern is will it tear off and reveal the base layer?

The material is extremely tough, and in our labs was able take take harder knocks than paint coats that we did (we have samples of both wraps and automobile paint in our serangoon office). We're certain it won't tear.

The aftershock machines for this current generation use XFI MB3, which is a software. Under the hood, I think it still relies on Realtek ALC892 codec and realtek integrated soundcard

With the IT show in another 3 weeks, I am looking forward to see if any good offers. =:p

chiaRH 16-08-2013 12:22 AM

I got about $130 off usual pricing for the sitex promo they had last year, which is good considering I already had to add $138 for the high gamut diaplay :3

The glossy high gamut panel you mean? The colors reproduction on the panel is wonderful, but I did not like the glossy surface, that's why I stick to the matt panel. =:p

My panel is b156hw01 v4, its matte and 95% gamut

Ah, I see. Unfortunately, the 17 inch high gamut panel is glossy when I purchased my laptop. :o

Aftershock PC 19-08-2013 12:11 PM

The 95% panels are significantly better in terms of color re-production (though personal preference for some), though the 17" variant (90%) Only comes in High Gloss.

I believe the high gloss surface do add to the color vibrancy. But the reflections can be quite distracting for me. :o
