Question Anyone knows how to buy NB from US sites like Dell and etc.?

Locally brands like Dell don't carry certain NB.
I just wonder how to buy from sites like Dell US?
Will warranty be a issue?

Anyone can share?

warranty damn hassle. Especially if the model is not intended for sale in SG.

Need to ship back and all that. Just make sure you get international warranty at purchase or they can refuse to provide you the warranty when daiji happen

My friend was refused local warranty when bought overseas. You need to send back to Dell US Service Center if anything happens. Singpost shipping would cost over $150.

However, my friend's dell is still working fine after 3 months.

it's a very huge risk to take especially if the unit is a PPE (primary production environment), you would have to find a crappier replacement during that time + extra shipping and all that.

There are various reasons why companies limit their products by geographical region. Some are just plain bestard, but there are also legitimate reasons behind it too.

Demand and pricing.
SG market is very small, not only Dell but others only bring in certain
amount of products but not full range.

AMD OEM products for example are definitely not sold here in SG.

i've purchased quite a few direct from dell outlet US direct. I'm lucky, never had any major issues. 9yr old refurb latitude still runs well, though battery is flat.

If you can accept the warranty issues.
US dell is ~20% cheaper. Outlet another 20% off some models. Sometimes they have coupon sales, like right now (Memorial day sale). Prices can be 50% off compared to SG.

They have some 8th gen CPU PC's, so not all old range.

http://www.dell.com/learn/us/en/22/c...-outlet?~ck=pn
$199 and above are an extra $30 off
$499 and above are an extra $75 off
$999 and above are an extra $150 off
$1499 and above are an extra $200 off
$1799 and above are an extra $300 off

Shipping will be self arranged, CGW, ezbuy etc. Usually will be subject to GST.

quoted from a source from India, SG should be same? To be verified.

"Please note if your laptop comes with Next Business Day On-site service is an international warranty and will be applicable in any country that has Dell services. The warranty will be applicable in India as well.

You will need to complete a Dell warranty/ownership transfer form on website, to get the warranty and service tag transferred to your current country/region (India). Please check the following link for the transfer form and more information:
