Help me to choose 2 in 1 laptop

HP Envy x360 ryzen 4700 FHD 13.3" - sgd1800
HP Spectre x360 i5 1035g4 FHD 13.3" - sgd2200

$400 more for design and premium feel? Or $400 less for faster processor? What about durability?

If you get ryzen, you will get better battery life and more cores (more performance if the program uses multi core).

But ryzen don't have Tb3. If you need Tb3 (run egpu, ext hard drive or docking station), then go intel.

Envy good enough. Ryzen is faster than intel

Want designer feel buy $50 carbon fiber skin

Left $350 can eat many chicken rice

Envy x360 Ryzen 7 last week was still selling for around 1699 or 1749. Price went up due to hot demand ?

Err to add, if its free, which one would you get ah? Spectre x360 i7 is too pricey to be free or else I would choose that. Am cool with spectre i5 but scared that will be too slow after using for a year or so, how ah? BTW same spec normal envy where to get 1300 wor?

Personal laptop, I am using HP Envy 13. My ex company was using Spectre 13.

Both capable of all my daily tasks and basic gaming. I like Spectre more, in term of look, feel, built, lighter and battery.

If again for personal, I will go for Envy x360, due to Ryzen and of cause $$$ but if I win 4D 1st prize and Spectre comes with Ryzen, I dun mind spending on it.

Even if price were not a factor, I would go for the Envy unless you value Thunderbolt 3 and the extra USB-C ports and the IR sensor. The laptop can also be charged through the Envy's USB-C port so probably not a biggie for most people (unless you need to output dual 4k monitors etc).

The Envy should be a faster laptop. It is also equipped with 16Gb RAM Vs 8gb RAM on the Spectre (think only the 2.8k version has 16gb RAM). I'm not sure how the quality of the Spectre's Full HD is like, but the 4k version of that display has a very irritating digitiser grid pattern. The Envy x360 also has the same pattern but is not so noticeable.

Build quality wise, the Envy x360 is about the same standard as the Spectre x360 I feel. I don't quite like the gem cut design of the Spectre x360.

How about considering the Acer Spin 3 or Spin 5? Almost identical specs, but cheaper I think.

Here:
1. https://www.lazada.sg/products/acer-...551vrOBwn&mp=1

2. https://www.lazada.sg/products/acer-...551NI8JIV&mp=1

3. https://www.lazada.sg/products/acer-...551AcGV9n&mp=1

Check Shoppee for better discounts. Both Lazada and Shoppee have Acer stores.

FYI, Acer quality is pretty good now...

Spin 3 screen is not full sRGB if I'm not wrong. Spin 5 has 200Hz PWM so might be strenuous on the eyes. Would prefer the Envy over these two options.
