Is it worth buying from newegg?

I have no experience buying from them even though they got singapore site. I mostly buy from Amazon US.

I normally don't buy from them because I used to always go to Amazon for their free international shipping. Newegg US may not ship direct and require a forwarder. The shipping fees they charge is also quite substantial.

Newegg @sg should not be an issue as local.

Don't think it would be local warranty as most of Online retailer are source from oversea suppliers.
This will depend on the products itself if there is local distributors or not, but doubt as it could be parallel or grey import in some products.

Newegg has to keep up with other Online retailers since Amazon had already set up here.
Beside it may have to follow Amazon to provide including transportation of goods.
Without proper delivery routes which is one of the most important factor on why everyone are using online retailers.

thats what im thinking as well. even with overseas warranty. getting them to approve seems to be a hassle as well. (expect with some brands still can just go ahead.)

When I was in the staying in the US, I have bought tv, monitors, computer case, hard drive, motherboard from them before and had some defective product, but they replaced them with no issue.

If you buy from Newegg SG and the item is defective, you are covered under the International Return Policy. Just make sure you contact them within 15 days or have someone at home open the package to check it out.

Below is what the International Return Policy covers.

International Return Policy
Return for refund within: 15 days
Return for replacement within: 15 days

You can learn more about our return process and guidelines in the Overall Return Guidelines and Additional Return Information sections of this page.
Defective or damaged products that state “This item is covered by Newegg’s International Return Policy” must have an RMA number issued by Newegg within 15 days from the delivery date for this policy to apply. In the event a product is returned that is not defective, the product will either be returned to the customer or the return shipping cost initially covered by Newegg will instead be deducted from the refund amount along with any necessary restocking fee that may apply. To file a return, please contact Newegg customer service via email or live chat.

newegg prices are cheaper than sg one, but they only provide 1 year international warranty for MSI n gigabyte where sg provide 2 year warranty.

some sets have a diiferent of $300 - $500 discount.
