Hey,

Check the box of your wind u100.

Other than the recovery disc, there should be a driver disc. Use it after you do the recovery.

Alternatively, you can hit f3 during bootup to do a recovery. (this is a recovery that recovers your msi u100 to the state where it left the factory. so all drivers will be there.)

Cheers.

Here are a few observations after owning MSI U200-4100 for about a week:

Positives:

- With a combination Pentium dual-core SU4100 1.3 GHz and 4 Gb RAM on Win 7 Home premium 32-bit, the system is snappy. Much much faster than any single core netbook.

- Boot up and power down is fast probably because MSI don't load the computer with all sorts of unnecessary software.

- No lag in multitasking of web surfing, MS office work or watch video. The only time I observed lag so far is downloading large pictures from website but that may be caused by slow hosting sites.

- Nice size (12') and weight (1.5Kg) combination for travel at a reasonable price.

- Locked into home network fairly quickly and signal is strong.

- Noise level from HDD is low.

- Strong battery life of about 6 hours with 6-cell battery.

- Web cam and software included works great.

- 3 USB for a small laptop is a bonus and you will need it when hooking up an external DVD which takes up 2 USB.

Negatives:

- Reflective screen.

- Win 7 32-bit rather than 64-bit.

- AC adapter is small and light but the power cord extension still thick and heavy. With a 3-cell battery and lighter power cord, the overall weight for traveling (laptop + adapter + power cord) could easily drop to 1.5Kg to 1.6Kg. I long for the day when one can buy a snappy notebook (not netbook) weight about 1Kg (adapter & power cord included) for around S$1K.

Overall it has been a great experience so far owning this little gem.

6 hours for real life applications on Turbo Batt Mode or Power Saver?

For the msi u200 reflective screen, is it very glaring?

Can one use those anti-glare screen protector to make it matt? The screen is frameless though...
